Job summary

Whitworths Ltd in Irthlingborough is seeking a hands-on Continuous Improvement Specialist to turn ideas and data into lasting improvements across our manufacturing operation. You will lead CI projects, analyse performance data, and coach teams to embed daily standards.

This role focuses on reducing waste, boosting productivity and strengthening processes, with a Monday–Friday pattern and 36.25 hours per week.

Qualifications

At least 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience applying continuous improvement methods with measurable change.
Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
Comfort using data to spot trends and opportunities.
Ability to plan and manage projects from concept to delivery.
Collaborative coaching style to build capability across teams.
Clear communication with people at all levels.
Proficient with MS Office and ERP systems.
GCSEs in English and Maths required.

Responsibilities

Lead and deliver CI projects that improve safety, quality, productivity, cost and engagement.
Analyse performance data to identify opportunities and root causes.
Coach colleagues in CI tools and ways of working.
Facilitate improvement activities, waste reviews, and team meetings.
Develop clear training materials, standards and operating procedures.
Monitor CI plans and update performance boards.
