Job summary

Vacgen Ltd in the United Kingdom is recruiting a Manufacturing Assembly Finisher to complete precision components and deliver high-quality surface finishes free from defects.

You will perform finishing and assembly tasks on Chambers, set up leak checks with mass spectrometry, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. The role requires hands-on capability, dexterity, and fitness to handle varied workloads in an UHV/HV environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Finishing/ Fitting/ Assembly, ideally in an UHV/ HV industry.
• Fabrication assembly fitting experience.
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.

• Performing tests and inspection operations on Chambers.
• Setting up and running of leak checking operations, using mass spectrometry equipment.
• Ensuring tidiness and physical appearance of the workplace is maintained.

In addition to this, as our Manufacturing Assembly Finisher you will be responsible for:

• Performing tests and inspection operations on Chambers.
• Setting up and running of leak checking operations, using mass spectrometry equipment.
• Ensuring tidiness and physical appearance of the workplace is maintained.

In order to be successful in this role it’s essential that you have:

• Experience with Finishing/ Fitting/ Assembly, ideally in an UHV/ HV industry.
• Fabrication assembly fitting experience
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
• Working with handheld power tools
• A hands-on doer with the skills to assemble small and large complex assemblies.
• This can sometimes be a physically demanding role, so a reasonable level of fitness and dexterity is required

Working Conditions

This role involves travel to client sites. While most work will be carried out from your usual base, you may be required to attend client meetings, site visits, or events as part of your duties. Travel will be planned in advance wherever possible, and all reasonable expenses will be covered.
