Pattern Forme Limited is an established British precision engineering company specialising in the design and manufacture of high-quality tooling for the packaging industry.

Our tooling is supplied to customers across the UK and internationally, and we have built our reputation on engineering expertise, precision and quality workmanship.

We are looking for a skilled Manual Toolmaker or Manual Machinist to join our manufacturing team.

We would welcome applications from both experienced toolmakers and engineers with a good foundation in conventional machining who are looking to develop their skills further.

The Role

You will be involved in the manufacture, fitting and finishing of specialist precision tooling, including:

• Operating conventional milling machines, lathes and other manual machine tools.
• Manufacturing and modifying precision engineering components.
• Working from detailed engineering drawings.
• Carrying out accurate fitting, assembly and finishing operations.
• Working to close tolerances and high-quality standards.
• Inspecting your own work and ensuring components meet specification.
• Working closely with other departments to ensure tooling is completed to the required standard.

Unlike repetitive production machining, our work involves manufacturing specialist tooling, often requiring individual engineering solutions and traditional machining skills.
