Yolk Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading high precision manufacturing business in Pontypool for an experienced Manual Machinist. You will operate conventional equipment, read engineering drawings and contribute to quality components.

The role operates a 3-shift pattern (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am) with overtime opportunities. Benefits include 25 days plus bank holidays, pension, health scheme, life assurance, and career development.

Qualifications

• Previous hands on experience using conventional workshop machinery.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Apprenticeship is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Operating conventional workshop equipment, including lathes, to produce components according to specification
• Carrying out inspection of components
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Working according to health and safety procedures
