Position: Manual Machinist / Toolmaker
Location: Warwickshire
Salary: £19 - £20 per hour (DOE)

Job Overview
  • Manufacture new press tools, jigs, and fixtures to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Maintain, repair, and refurbish existing tooling to ensure production efficiency and product quality.
  • Operate manual machine tools including lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and cylindrical grinders.
  • Fit, assemble, and test tooling components to ensure correct operation in production conditions.
  • Ensure tooling is produced and maintained to the highest quality standards within specified tolerances.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area in accordance with company policies.
Job Requirements
  • Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Toolmaking / Precision Engineering would be preferred.
  • Proven experience in manual machining and toolroom environments.
  • Strong knowledge of press tool construction, including blanking, forming, and progression tooling.
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and use precision measuring equipment (micrometers, gauges, verniers, etc.).
  • Experience with fitting, assembly, and try‑out of tooling.
  • Welding experience is advantageous (MIG, TIG, arc).
  • Understanding of materials and heat treatment processes used in toolmaking.
Salary & Benefits
  • Permanent position.
  • Salary - £19 to £20 per hour (DOE).
  • Monday to Friday – 39 hour week.
  • 28 days holiday allowance including BH.
  • Pension scheme.
