Job summary

People First (Recruitment) Ltd is seeking a Mandarin-speaking Finance Analyst (Financial Reporting & Accounting) in London. The role focuses on IFRS-based reporting for trading activities, with exposure to P&L analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.

You will work in a hybrid setup, interacting with Product Control and Front Office teams, and support external audits and annual statutory reporting. A relevant accounting degree and professional qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• Mandarin and English fluency are essential.
• Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent required.
• Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent.
• Experience in trading or energy/finance accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly reporting for IFRS 9/IAS 2 and related standards.
• Explain P&L gaps between risk and accounting views with stakeholders.
• Post and reconcile invoices in SAP and adjust MI/MA differences.
• Produce broker exchange reconciliations and liaise with Derivative ops.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and drive action items.
• Assist external audits and annual statutory reporting.
• Support IT projects to automate month-end processes.
• Perform ad hoc analyses as required.
