Job summary

People First Team Japan in London is seeking a Mandarin-speaking Credit Analyst (Banking) for a permanent, office-based role. Fluency in Mandarin and English and solid credit analysis experience in syndication loans or corporate banking are required.

The analyst will build relationships with arrangers and managers to solicit loans, coordinate underwriting with Head Office, review credit agreements, and maintain tidy loan files. Office-based in London, salary £50-70k depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal skills in English and Mandarin.
• Solid credit analysis experience in syndication loans or corporate banking.
• IT skills for Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised, good time management.
• Willing to learn and rotate within the department.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with lenders' arrangers and relationship managers to solicit syndication loans.
• Coordinate head office underwriting including KYC, terms, security, and cash flow analysis.
• Review credit agreements and ensure proper documentation and timeliness.
• Conduct industry and market analysis to inform management review.
• Maintain well-organised loan files and ensure all documents are up-to-date.
