Leading Independent School in Manchester is seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join its finance and operations team. The role covers day-to-day financial administration, purchase and sales ledgers, reconciliations, and supporting budget management.

You will process invoices, manage ledgers, conduct bank reconciliations, handle BACS payments, and assist with month-end reporting. Close collaboration with the Bursar and senior leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous school finance experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills required.
• Experience using finance software.

Responsabilités

• Processing invoices and purchase orders.
• Managing purchase and sales ledgers.
• Carrying out bank reconciliations.
• Processing BACS and supplier payments.
• Managing fee and payment queries.
• Maintaining accurate financial records.
• Supporting month-end processes.
• Assisting with financial reporting.
• Working closely with the Bursar and senior leadership.
