Job summary

Commercial & Strategic Finance Exposure | Market-Leading Services Business

Axon Moore is partnering with a leading services organisation to recruit a Management Accountant with strong commercial and analytical skills. This role offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to drive strategic decision‑making through high‑quality insights, modelling, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including overhead reviews, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Deliver accurate and timely reporting across multiple cost centres.
  • Build and maintain robust financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, and other departments to provide actionable insights and scenario analysis.
  • Present financial performance and KPIs to senior leadership.
  • Streamline and automate reporting processes using Power Query, Power Automate, and emerging AI tools.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, supporting automation and efficiency projects.
  • Coach and support junior team members, fostering continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to budgeting, policy development, and incentive scheme reviews.
About You
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
  • Proven experience in financial modelling, analysis, and management reporting.
  • Strong business partnering and presentation skills with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Proactive, resilient, and improvement‑focused.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills (Power Query / Power Automate).
  • Interest in leveraging AI to enhance financial reporting and decision‑making.
