I have been asked to find a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to step into the role.

My client is a specialist contractor with a portfolio of interesting projects across the UK. Their most recent win is a large civil engineering infrastructure package in Manchester which could be worth anywhere between £25-50 m (tbc).

This project is due to commence in the next couple of months.

Responsibilities
  • Take on responsibility for commercial management on the new infrastructure package in Manchester and future schemes across the Midlands/North/North West.
  • Lead and develop a team of less experienced Quantity Surveyors, applying your knowledge to support their growth and performance.
Qualifications/Experience
  • Experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor; background in subcontracting with earth/groundworks and reinforced concrete works, ideally on infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding/knowledge of NEC contracts.
  • Ability to work on large-scale civil engineering projects and manage commercial processes.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a very successful and stable organisation on what will be one of their flagship projects to date. You will be the first commercial acquisition at this level in the region and this will give you a 'blank canvass' on which to work.
