Job summary

EQUANS is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor in Coleshill to lead all commercial operations on its repairs, maintenance, and investment works for housing stock. This permanent, full-time role requires line management of QS teams and responsibility for profitability across live schemes.

The role includes driving contract strategy, managing variations and subcontracting, and ensuring adherence to SHEQ standards while delivering value to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in Social Housing Responsive Maintenance is essential.
• Extensive experience within a Senior Quantity Surveying / Managing QS role.
• Experience of forms of contracts (TPC, NEC & JCT).
• Knowledge of PPP, PPV, SOR’s commercial models.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy at contract establishment and manage QS teams.
• Maximise profitability on operational schemes with regular performance reviews.
• Oversee variations, valuations and VO submissions.
• Maximise sub-contractor buying gains with regional director input.
• Ensure accurate cost delivery data and tender cost inclusion.
• Attend monthly senior commercial team meetings.

Summary

Equans is looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Coleshill on a permanentbasis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.General Overview: Managing Quantity Surveyor responsible for delivering all commercial operations on the repairs, maintenance, and investment works contract, to BCC housing stock.The Managing Quantity Surveyor will oversee all commercial elements of the operational unit including management of commercial teams. To set and improve business standards within the teams and ensuring key systems and processes are adhered to. Protect the company’s interests at all times whilst ensuring Equans full contractual entitlement is recovered. To increase profitability whilst maintaining quality and customer relationships.
