A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking a Managing Engineer to oversee significant projects and support junior engineering staff. This hybrid role requires proactive problem-solving and strong communication skills, with responsibilities including training staff and managing site operations across southern England. Ideal candidates will have civil engineering experience, relevant qualifications, and a driving license.
My client is a Leading National Civil Engineering Contractor.
Due to planned growth, they are looking to appoint, on a permanent basis, a Managing Engineer to oversee their larger projects and to offer guidance and support to other engineering staff within the region.
This is a hybrid role where the successful candidate will be expected to blend site related engineering activities with training, supervision and mentorship to more junior members of the company's engineering team.
In this role you will be fairly mobile and will need to be prepared to travel throughout the company's southern operational range which broadly covers the counties of Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, Berkshire, Surrey and Devon.
The company are seeking a proactive problem solver and confident communicator, who has the ability to liaise effectively with a range of other professionals.
The ideal candidate will have previous civil engineering experience, particularly highways and coastal schemes working for a main contractor.
Must also have a CSCS card in the appropriate discipline and have a BSc/ HND/ HNC qualification or equivalent.
You will have an SSTS card as well as ICE membership.
