A leading immigration services firm is looking for a Managing Director to oversee its UK and Ireland practices. The role emphasizes business development and client engagement, with the MD spending significant time in marketing activities such as networking and representing the company at events. Candidates should have a strong background in immigration law and proven ability to drive revenue growth through client relationships. The Managing Directoris responsible forachieving budgeted revenue for Newland Chase’s UKand Ireland (UK&I)practicesand for implementing strategies and tactics to ensure long-term revenue growth. In this role, the MDfocuses on the key drivers of growth;client acquisition,retentionand expanding the scope and depth ofNewlandChaseservicesutilizedby clients.
The Managing Directoris stronglyfocusedonbusiness development and client engagement.TheManaging Directoris expected to devote roughly70% or more of his or her timeto external, market-facing activities such as meetingwith existing and prospective clients, networking in the UK&Imobility marketanddeveloping a visible professional profile in the UK&Ibyattending, and often speaking at,local and national immigration events, conferences and other venues where thought leaders convene. As the business leaderfor both the markets, the MD inspires the service delivery team to deliver innovative andaccurateadvise, thorough and responsive case-workand attentiveclient service.
On a secondary level, the MD will ensure that all UK&Iimmigration professionals are expert at all aspects of the immigration regulation and able to apply thisexpertiseto achieve clients’ businessobjectives. The responsibilities related to this aspect of the role include, but are not limited to: coaching and mentoring employees in support of their professional development; guiding staff on all immigration related advisory matters to ensure that the highest standards of advice and consultation are provided; and working with colleagues cross-functionally to implement company service delivery standards. The Managing Director will work closely with other national immigration leaders and members of the company’s third regional immigration hubs in pursuit of client needs and shared global objectives. The Managing Director will also collaborate directly with the company’s executive, business administration, and finance team to ensure that all operational and financial performance objectives are achieved.
The Managing Director will have comprehensive experience in corporate immigration with a focus on advising national and multinational companies bringing foreign workers to the UK&I. The Managing Director will ideally hold a UK law degree and will have extensive experience as an immigration practitioner and a business & people leader. They will also have experience working with and liaising with government immigration departments. The Managing Director will have to be a technical expert on immigration law, having experience bringing foreign workers from diverse industries to the UK and Ireland. It is expected that the MD will personally engage with Newland Chase’s largest prospects and clients to directly provide advice and help for immigration strategy.
