The Managing Director has the legal responsibility for MRSL and in partnership with the Board is responsible for the overall success of the company. S/he assures the execution of MRSL mission, vision, strategy and short and long-term financial goals. The MRSG Board delegates responsibility for management of day-to-day operations to the Managing Director and s/he has the authority to carry out these responsibilities in accordance with the direction and policies established by the MRSG Board.
The Managing Director leads the implementation of the long-term strategy for Munich Re Syndicate Limited (MRSL) with the aim to deliver consistent profitability, high efficiency and cost rigour over the insurance cycle. Collectively with other MRSG Board members advise, govern, oversee policy and direction, and assist with the leadership and general promotion of GSI4 / MRSG.
