Overview

Managing Director - e-money, debit, prepaid, virtual cards

Remote with 1-2 days in the Home Counties office. A Managing Director is required for our client who is a Principal Issuing Member of MasterCard Worldwide and is licensed to issue debit and prepaid payment cards, virtual cards and contactless programs. Their Partner Sponsorship model is adaptable to partner requirements ensuring that cardholder funds are safeguarded and all scheme and regulatory requirements are met. They are currently looking for an experienced Managing Director to lead and expand the company into the next stage of growth.

As well as leading a team of people on site and overseeing the various outsourced relationships, and growing the business, you will also have a thorough understanding of compliance and direct experience of managing relationships with the FCA.

Responsibilities
  • ensuring that the company focus and strategy is geared towards growth, profits and increasing shareholder return in a compliant and sustainable manner
  • advising the Board upon Risk strategy and appetite specifically around corporate governance, information security, regulatory compliance and operational risk
  • reviewing and leading a global risk management strategy for the Company
  • quantifying the Company’s risk appetite and ensure risk approach adhering accordingly managing any communication between the Board and the Chairperson/Shareholders
  • leading, coaching and mentoring team members and supporting their professional development
  • representing the company in public at industry events and be the go-to for media /press relations
  • work alongside other board members to identify operational performance measures and an understanding of finance related issues in order to analyse company performance
  • implementing company policy and any changes to it
