THE ROLE

As Managing Director, EMEA, you'll lead Movers+Shakers' EMEA operations, headquartered in London, as we rapidly scale and grow it. We’re looking for a veteran builder of client growth and team growth, in a small office context. You’re savvy with reading the tea leaves of client opportunities, and you’re a skilled operator who leads & inspires great work. This is a net new role to support London's expansion. You’ll lead our existing senior leaders in London, collaborate with the executive team in the US, and partner with senior leaders across our Stagwell sister agencies.

We’re looking for the unicorn who spans client whisperer, operational wizard, and growth driver. The top two priorities for this role are client growth and scaling a high-performing team. You’re someone with a bold vision who leads with joy, and we will entrust you to ensure London continues to reflect the same award-winning, culture-forward standard we've built in the US.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive organic growth by deepening relationships with our existing client base, identifying opportunities to expand the scope and impact of our work.
  • Build and steward senior-level relationships with our key clients, serving as a trusted advisor and the primary point of escalation.
  • Develop and execute a regional growth strategy in partnership with the executive team, across both revenue growth and corresponding team expansion.
  • Drive new business opportunities including inbound RFPs and partnering with sister agencies across the Stagwell network.
  • Partner with creative, strategy, operations, and account teams to deliver award-winning work that naturally builds long-term client loyalty.
  • Own regional pipeline reporting and revenue forecasting, with a focus on retention and expansion targets.
  • Own day-to-day operational leadership of the London office, including resourcing, budget, and culture.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with account management, project management, strategy, and creative on both sides of the Atlantic.
  • Ensure consistency of brand, culture, and quality standards between the UK and US offices.
  • Represent Movers+Shakers in the market, engaging in networking and industry events to support brand visibility and reputation.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 15+ years of agency experience, with a track record of new business origination and revenue growth in the UK/EMEA market.
  • Extensive experience in creative agencies is required. Experience in social and/or influencer agencies is a plus.
  • An existing network of senior marketing relationships at large multi-national brands.
  • Proven experience building and leading a team from the ground up.
  • Used to working on a small team where the top leaders are also individual contributors.
  • Strong commercial acumen: pipeline management, forecasting, and P&L management.
  • Comfortable operating with significant autonomy inside a US-headquartered organization.
  • Excellent executive presence and communication skills; able to represent the agency externally at every level.
  • Experience working within a holding company structure (e.g., Stagwell, WPP, Publicis, Omnicom) is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid capacity from our London Bluefin office (2-3 days per week typically in office).
  • Able to travel as needed for clients and relationship building. We estimate travel around 15%.
