Role

Due to global expansion, a manufacturer of aerospace engineered components has retained Vectis Recruitment to manage the appointment of a UK Managing Director. Joining at a time of significant investment and ambitious international growth, the successful candidate will be responsible for directing and executing the company's business objectives to deliver profitable, sustainable growth across the UK aerospace portfolio and adjacent markets.

Responsibilities
  • Full P&L responsibility for multiple UK operations providing advanced engineered solutions to Aerospace & Defense customers.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the organisation to achieve performance and financial objectives.
  • Ensure the effective development and execution of the company's ambitious growth plans through developing new customers and expanding product offerings.
  • Champion and introduce new technologies, automation, and smart factory initiatives to maximize operational efficiencies and equipment effectiveness.
  • Organise the business to execute and deliver results using Management Operating Systems and key KPIs that enable OEM value stream processes across the site operations.
  • Develop and foster strong customer relationships to achieve profitable top-line revenue and market share growth.
  • Empower teams with a leadership/management style that is collaborative, inclusive and driven to achieve and sustain results.
  • Attract & develop a world class team creating and sustaining a high-performance culture.
  • Plans and directs the overall activities that meet or exceed performance metrics.
Person

Proven P&L experience in an advanced aerospace manufacturing environment. (preferably aerospace engine components).

A proven track record of implementing and successfully executing strategies to build and sustain a high-performance work environment.

Bachelor's degree in business management, engineering, or related discipline. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Demonstrated ability to develop and deploy a winning business strategy that integrates sales, operations, finance, logistics and human resource disciplines.

An empowering leadership style, able to engage at all levels of the organisation with a strong executive presence.

Prior commercial and sales management experience.

Experience in mergers / acquisitions is highly advantageous.
