Job description

Capgemini Invent

At Capgemini Invent, we believe difference drives change. As inventive transformation consultants, we blend our strategic, creative and scientific capabilities, collaborating closely with clients to deliver cutting‑edge solutions. Join us to drive transformation tailored to our client’s challenges of today and tomorrow. Informed and validated by science and data. Superpowered by creativity and design. All underpinned by technology created with purpose.

Your Role

As a Cloud Programme Manager at Capgemini Invent, you will lead complex cloud and infrastructure transformation programmes for enterprise clients - from strategy and business case through to delivery and benefits realisation.

Programme leadership: Leading multi-workstream cloud and infrastructure transformation programmes - including cloud migrations, data centre exits and transformations, landing zone builds and platform modernisation - across AWS, Azure and GCP environments.

Programme governance: Owning the governance backbone of the programme - business case, roadmap, RAID, dependency management, scope and SOW management, and executive reporting - and keeping delivery anchored to business outcomes.

Value and benefits realisation: Defining, tracking and evidencing programme benefits, working with client finance and business stakeholders to translate complex technical change into measurable business value.

Team and ecosystem leadership: Leading and coaching cross‑functional teams across client, Capgemini, hyperscaler and third‑party vendor organisations, and managing supplier relationships.

AI‑enabled delivery: Applying AI and GenAI tooling to accelerate programme delivery, and leading programmes that increasingly include AI and data workload migration and modernisation

Key expectations from this role include:

As a Managing Consultant: lead a major workstream or a mid‑sized programme end‑to‑end, own day‑to‑day client relationships and produce high‑quality deliverables.

As a Senior Manager: lead large, complex programmes, own senior client relationships, and shape and sell follow‑on work.

As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:

  • Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.

  • Internal Contribution – Campaign development, internal think‑tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.

  • Learning & Development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.

Your Profile

  • Leading or managing medium‑to‑large cloud and infrastructure programmes (e.g. cloud transformations, data centre exits, infrastructure modernisation), ideally in a consulting or client‑facing environment.

  • Delivering cloud migration and modernisation with at least one of AWS, Azure or GCP; familiarity with DevOps, FinOps, platform engineering and SRE is desirable.

  • Strong programme governance capability – business case, roadmap, RAID, dependency management, executive reporting, and scope/commercial management.

  • Stakeholder management across senior executives, finance, procurement, engineering, security and operations, with the ability to enlist support and commitment from peers in a matrixed organisation.

  • Experience of programmes involving AI or data workloads, and/or using AI tools to accelerate programme delivery, is highly desirable.

  • Certifications in one or more of MSP, PMP, SAFe, PRINCE2 or Scrum are nice; hyperscaler certifications are desirable.

What You’ll Love About Working Here

No matter the project or customer, your work will have a meaningful impact on society, businesses and lives. It’s really rewarding. And it’s also really varied. You’ll potentially work on a huge variety of projects (some larger than others), so you’ll gain lots of experience in a short amount of time.

Client engagements give you the opportunity to work with our leadership and experienced consulting management, where you can learn from them, challenge them and accelerate your hands‑on experience, delivery capability and industry insights. There are many opportunities like monthly team drinks to connect face‑to‑face with the wider team over a few drinks in the city. There are regular leadership connect sessions that will give you a different, more relaxed setting to meet up in the office to hear from the leadership, meet colleagues and discuss the trends and insights within the market. Team days are always a chance to connect with the team, have fun and learn something new.
