Job summary

capSpire is seeking a Managing Consultant - Allegro Technical in London to lead and deliver major Allegro ETRM transformations. You will guide solution architecture, manage delivery teams, and work closely with clients across Europe on power, gas, oil, and commodity trading projects.

The role requires deep Allegro expertise (Horizon/8), strong .NET and SQL skills, and a proven consultancy track record. Onsite work model and travel to client sites are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years hands-on Allegro experience, with 5+ years in senior/lead roles.
• Proven track record in technical consultancy.
• Expert in .NET (C#), SQL, and Allegro extension environments.
• Deep understanding of trade lifecycle, risk management, and front-to-back ETRM processes.
• Experience integrating Allegro with SAP and market data feeds.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
• Leadership experience delivering complex projects.
• Willingness to travel to client sites.

What will you be doing?

As a consultant at capSpire, your role offers a challenging and varied client-facing environment, supporting major transformation projects across Europe for clients in power, gas, oil, and commodity trading. As a seasoned Allegro Consultant, you’ll lead engagements, drive solution architecture, and manage teams to deliver impactful Allegro ETRM implementations, combining deep technical expertise with strong leadership and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage end-to-end Allegro project implementations and upgrades.
• Act as the senior technical architect for Allegro solution design, customization, and integration.
• Oversee a team of consultants and developers; mentor junior staff and enforce best practices.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, define roadmaps, and ensure alignment of technical solutions with businessobjectives.
• Drive solution delivery from planning through to go-live and post-implementation support.
• Troubleshoot complex Allegro system issues andoptimizesystem performance.
• Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction andidentifyingnew business opportunities.
• Contribute to pre-sales activities including proposal development and technical presentations.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum10years hands-on experiencewithin Allegro(Horizon or Allegro 8)with 5 years in a senior or lead technical role.
• Proventrack recordin technical consultancy, preferably within a recognized consulting firm.
• Expert in .NET (C#), SQL, and Allegro’s proprietary extension environment (e.g., Class Events).
• In-depth understanding of trade lifecycle management, risk management, and front-to-back ETRM processes.
• Experience integrating Allegro with upstream/downstream systems (e.g., SAP, market data feeds).
• Strong SQL skills and data model understanding.
• Leadership experience in managing technical teams and delivering complex projects.
• Ability to travel to client locations as per project requirements.

Preferred Experience:

• At least10years of experienceasasubject matter expert ortechnicalconsultantintheCommodity Trading, Risk and Logistics business area in large enterprise environments.
• Strongtechnicalunderstanding of power, gas, coal, & emissions/renewables trading.
• Ability to work as part of a cross-cultural team,including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary.
