Advanced Energy is seeking a Manager, Senior Program Management to partner with global engineering teams and key customers to ensure on-time delivery of products to finished goods.

You will lead a team of program and project managers, drive PDP improvements, manage cross-functional schedules, and coordinate with design, manufacturing, and procurement to meet budget and quality targets, delivering reliable program execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to build and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines and manage priorities.
  • Experience with PCBA design/manufacturing preferable.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum processes preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Program/Project Managers.
  • Set goals, performance expectations, and development plans.
  • Provide guidance on planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Build partnerships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Product Development Processes.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through all phases of New Product Development.
  • Prepare RFQ or program development proposals with Marketing and Design.
  • Plan and manage NPD schedules and resources to hit time and budget.
  • Ensure PDP compliance and raise changes with recommendations.
  • Own project KPI targets: schedule, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide direction on risk mitigation and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with customer project/design reps as primary contact.
  • Work with manufacturing and procurement for readiness.
  • Ensure DFM, cycle-time, and quality targets are met.
  • Oversee mass production launches and reports for customers/management.
  • Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager, Senior Program Management will partner with our global engineering teams and key customers to ensure on-time delivery of products to finished goods as scheduled by Advanced Energy’s committed shipment date, improve our ability to meet customer delivery requirements by understanding capacity, identify constraints, risks, and actively reduce lead times (availability), and minimize our investment in raw and finished material inventory where appropriate

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Program Managers and Project Managers to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and professional development plans for team members.
  • Provide guidance and support on project planning, issue resolution, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Build trusted partnerships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support successful program execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Product Development Processes (PDP), stage-gate reviews, and program governance practices
  • Leads a cross-functional project team through all phases of New Product Development of Hyperscale Power
  • Supports Marketing and Design Engineering in preparing RFQ (Request for Quote) or program development proposals
  • Plans and manages New Product development Schedules and resource plans to deliver products ON TIME and within budget
  • Manages projects according to Product Development Process (PDP) and ensure that any scope changes or changes to the financial targets are raised with recommendations for the appropriate action
  • Is accountable for project KPI’s: schedule, product and project cost targets, quality, compliance, and customer Satisfaction
  • Provides overall direction and ownership to programs, including Risk Mitigation Plans, escalations, and issue resolution
  • Acts as a primary point of contact working with customer Project and Design representatives
  • Works with manufacturing and procurement teams to ensure material and factory build readiness
  • Coordinates with Design and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure DFM, manufacturing cycle-time and quality targets are met
  • Ensures a smooth Mass Production product launch
  • Prepares reports and updates for presentation to customers, senior management, and internal stakeholders
  • Understand the system design to support managing a project and leading the way through problems
  • Is responsible for documenting all aspects of the project development and ensuring that data is captured and used as lessons learned to drive continuous improvement
