GIANT AGRO PROCESSING LIMITED (GAPL) concern of GIANT GROUP is one of the largest fast growing Agri-Business company in Bangladesh, involved in seed, cold storage, fertilizer, pesticide and e-commerce business. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as Manager/Sr. Manager - Finance & Accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations for sustainable growth. This role is ideal for someone who excels in operational efficiency, team leadership, and financial management and is eager to contribute to a fast-growing company in Bangladesh.

Job Role

You will be responsible for managing GAPL Finance & Accounts Departments activities independently including dealing with Banks (for loan and credit facilities), Tax, VAT offices and other compliance issues of the company. Be responsible to handle sales & marketing accounts of the company (having more than 500 dealers).

Duties and Responsibilities
Core responsibilities
  • Manage the Finance & Accounts department activities of Giant Agro Processing Ltd. (GAPL) independently;
  • Develop and manage annual and multi-year budgets for the organization's needs including preparation of periodic budget forecasts;
  • Plan, organize, and execute financial tasks and projects of the Company;
  • Analyze monthly profit & loss statement, and detailed statement of bills payable and bills receivals and submit to management;
  • Prepare yearly Balance Sheet, Profit & loss statement and Cashflow statement of the company;
  • Get the company accounts audited by Auditors every year and submit report to Management and with the approval arrange to submit to Bank and other authorities;
  • Ensure all Tax and VAT compliance of the Company accounts;
  • Prepare tax supporting documents and arrange for submission to Tax and VAT authorities after approval from Management;
  • Keep the management up-to-date with all relevant changes in VAT/Tax regulations and their potential impact on the organization;
  • Responsible for fixed assets & Inventory reconciliations and periodical verification in an appropriate manner;
  • Deal with Bank for credit facilities; Term Loan, Time Loan, LTR, Bank CC etc.;
  • Communicate with banks and be responsible for submitting applications & documents for fund management and all compliance;
  • Make coordination with production department and contract growers;
  • Look after any discrepancies found in production budget and resolve it;
  • Ensure and make report on sales and collection status daily, monthly and yearly;
  • Liaison with dealers and update their status about overdue and arrange for payment;
  • Dealer reconciliation checks that accounts receivable records line up with dealer payments;
  • Generate various report for Management as and when required;
  • Liaise with government, non-governmental regulatory bodies.
  • Update and improve accounting system.
