Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions seeks a Development Manager, Data Services to lead a team of engineers responsible for delivering sprint and release commitments aligned to the roadmap.

You will combine people leadership with delivery excellence, working closely with Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering leaders to translate priorities into achievable plans and ensure reliable service delivery across data services.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams and supporting performance, wellbeing and development.
• Ability to translate strategic priorities into clear delivery plans and milestones.
• Experience managing sprint delivery, release commitments, dependencies and capacity.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to identify, assess and elevate delivery risks appropriately.
• Understanding of engineering quality standards, testing practices and operational excellence.
• Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding and team development activities.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of the team's sprint and release commitments against the roadmap.
• Translate priorities set by senior leadership into sprint plans, tickets and milestones.
• Coordinate day-to-day delivery across the team, managing blockers, dependencies and capacity.
• Ensure work is delivered to agreed quality, coding and testing standards.
• Identify and flag delivery risks early, escalating where they exceed the team's control.
• Track and report on sprint progress, velocity and delivery health to the wider DS leadership.
• Line-manage, coach and develop a team of engineers.
• Act as the delivery point of contact for the team's area of work.
