Job summary

Eisai EMEA is seeking a Manager, Quality Control Operations. This role focuses on oversight of QC testing for bulk and finished products, incoming goods testing, and supporting QC Microbiology and Stability programs.

The position reports to the Head of Quality Control and ensures testing aligns with Eisai Quality System and GMP standards. The role requires strong knowledge of QC/QA, GMP, and regulatory compliance, with excellent data interpretation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within Eisai and partner sites.
• Demonstrated knowledge of GMP Guidelines and regulatory requirements for pharmaceuticals.
• Strong technical and scientific judgement for data interpretation and decision making.
• Ability to interpret complex data and present key findings clearly.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Understanding of Quality Control/Quality Assurance within manufacturing and packaging.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of QC product testing (bulk and finished product) and incoming goods testing.
• Support of QC Microbiology and Stability programmes as required.
• Ensure operations comply with Eisai Quality System, GMP, and industry standards.
• Maintain safe working environment; report near misses and incidents.
• Identify opportunities to improve operations and reduce costs via continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate with stakeholders to meet expectations and ensure timely results.

Your new role

As a Manager, Quality Control Operations you are primarily responsible for oversight of EML QC product testing (bulk and finished product), incoming goods testing and supporting oversight of EML QC Microbiology and Stability programmes as required. This role reports directly to the Head of Quality Control. The role is to ensure that all materials/bulk and finished products that require testing by the laboratory are done so according to agreed specifications and procedures and within agreed lead times. The job holder must ensure that operations carried out within QC are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Eisai Quality System, GMP Guidelines and Industry Standards.

Duties are performed to ensure:

• A safe working environment is maintained for self and other Eisai employees, ensuring all near miss incidents and accidents are reported in accordance with procedures.
• The Quality of products manufactured and released is assured through adherence to all procedures.
• Opportunities to improve operations and reduce cost are identified and progressed through the continuous improvement and demand innovation initiatives.
• Eisai’s philosophy of hhc is at the forefront of daily activities.
• All stakeholder and customer expectations are understood and met through communication.
• Performance is in line with personal and Eisai objectives with demonstrated behaviors and competencies.

What are we looking for?

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communication links within EML, affiliated organisations and other customers
• Extensive knowledge of Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Quality Systems, GMP, Regulatory Compliance and manufacture and packaging of pharmaceutical products
• Good technical and scientific judgement
• Ability to interpret complex data and present key findings
• Computer literate e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated Knowledge, understanding and application of GMP Guidelines and Regulations
