Job Overview

Senior Manager – People Global Shared Service at Domestic & General. This permanent, hybrid role is based at our Wimbledon office and offers a competitive salary, annual discretionary bonus, and opportunities for career progression. The position involves leading a global shared‑services team to deliver consistent and efficient HR services worldwide, while driving transformation and change management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement a scalable global HR shared services operating model.
  • Oversee the delivery of consistent, high‑quality HR services in line with agreed SLAs and KPIs.
  • Standardise, streamline, and automate HR processes across regions where possible.
  • Lead the global implementation and optimisation of a case/ticketing management system.
  • Partner with HR Centres of Expertise, IT, regional HR, and business leaders to ensure alignment and adoption.
  • Establish service metrics, governance, and reporting to enable continuous improvement.
  • Build, coach, and inspire a high‑performing, globally distributed team.
  • Act as a change leader, communicating the vision and embedding new processes and systems globally.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Significant expertise in global shared services and design of shared service functions, with an awareness of both global and regional considerations.
  • Strong knowledge of HR technology platforms (Workday preferred) and case management/ticketing systems.
  • Demonstrable experience of process improvement methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma desirable).
  • Ability to operate effectively in a complex, matrixed environment spanning multiple geographies, jurisdictions, and cultures.
  • Balance of strategic transformation with operational delivery responsibilities.
