A regulatory body in the insurance sector is seeking a qualified professional to supervise and manage team members, perform actuarial analysis, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in actuarial science and at least 6 years of relevant experience. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, along with proficiency in English and Chinese, are essential. This is a full-time, 2-year contract position.

Reporting to Senior Manager (Long Term Business), the incumbent will undertake the following:
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and manage Assistant Manager(s) and other relevant team member(s)
Perform prudential supervision of authorized life insurers through financial risk monitoring
Perform actuarial analysis/assessment on assigned matters, and provide actuarial advisory/support to the teams to facilitate decision making
Monitor life insurers’ compliance with regulatory requirements under a risk-based capital regime
Liaise with industry and professional bodies on matters relating to the regulation and development of the life insurance industry
Perform other duties as assigned by senior management to facilitate the administration of the statutory functions of IA
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or related disciplines
Fellow actuary with minimum 6 years' relevant work experience (4 years of which were attained after becoming fellow) in risk and capital management, life actuarial practice, or regulatory fields
Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements and supervisory standards, insurance products, asset/ liability and capital management, industry practices and market dynamics relating to the insurance business
Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
A team player with the ability to work under pressure
Can-do attitude, self-starter and open to challenging tasks
Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese
Appointment Terms
A competitive remuneration package commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience on a 2-year contract will be offered.
