Job summary

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of client engagements, managing your own work and coordinating small project teams to achieve agreed outcomes.
• Develop clear, high-quality reports, business cases and analytical solutions for senior stakeholders.
• Own defined workstreams including financial analysis, modelling, operating model design or sections of an investment business case.
• Build relationships with client leads and facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders to shape and deliver change.
• Define analytical and modelling requirements addressing strategic, operational and financial challenges.
• Prepare persuasive presentation content aligned with NHS England and government requirements where relevant.
• Support business development through market insight, thought leadership, proposals and pitches.
• Maintain engagement administration, compliance and risk management, while pursuing learning and development.

As a Manager in the Healthcare team, you will focus on developing business cases for investment in change and productivity, supported by robust analysis. You will work with NHS providers, healthcare systems, national bodies and other public‑sector organisations on assignments such as strategic options appraisals, business cases, benefits realisation and value‑for‑money assessments.

Your work may include system‑wide modelling for healthcare redesign, activity, capacity and financial models for mergers, and analysis supporting major capital investment. Alongside client delivery, you will contribute to business development, thought leadership and the continued growth of the team.

Roles and responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of client engagements, managing your own work and coordinating small project teams to achieve agreed outcomes.
• Develop clear, high‑quality reports, business cases and analytical solutions that enable senior stakeholders to make informed decisions.
• Own defined workstreams, which may include financial analysis, modelling, operating model design or sections of an investment business case.
• Build effective day‑to‑day relationships with client leads and facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders to shape and deliver change.
• Define analytical and modelling requirements that address strategic, operational and financial challenges, including value‑for‑money and benefits analysis.
• Prepare persuasive presentation and proposal content that aligns with NHS England and wider government requirements where relevant.
• Support business development through market insight, thought leadership, proposals and pitches, while bringing new ideas to the team.
• Maintain high standards of engagement administration, compliance and risk management, while actively pursuing learning and development opportunities.

Experience and skills needed

• Experience of leading complex strategy, transformation or business case engagements from opportunity shaping through to delivery.
• Experience in the healthcare sector, including an understanding of NHS provider organisations and the strategic, operational and financial challenges they face; knowledge of social care or local government is welcome.
• Evidence of building senior client relationships, identifying opportunities and contributing to successful advisory engagements.
• Strong programme and engagement management skills, including experience of managing teams, priorities, deadlines and a consistently high level of client service.
• Experience of developing financial or value‑for‑money models and using analysis to support service transformation, quantify benefits or inform investment decisions.
• Experience of producing decision‑ready reports and presenting complex analysis clearly to senior management or executive audiences, including through effective data visualisation and storytelling.
