Job summary

Carnival UK is looking for a Manager, Engineering Lead – Platform Infrastructure on a 12-month FTC, with hybrid work up to two days from home. The role sits at CUK07 level and leads platform infrastructure across hybrid and legacy environments, coordinating external engineering partners and vendors.

The ideal candidate will bring strong cloud experience, AWS/Kubernetes expertise, and governance capabilities to align engineering with business goals.

Qualifications

Experience with cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
Experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of Terraform, Jenkins, infrastructure automation and cloud-native technologies.
Experience providing engineering governance, technical oversight and managing outsourced engineering providers or technical vendors.

In our continuous journey of growth and innovation at Carnival UK, we are seeking a Manager, Engineering Lead – Platform Infrastructure to bring fresh insights and expertise to our technology department on a 12-month FTC basis.

This pivotal role will involve:

Lead the operational management of platform infrastructure across both hybrid cloud and legacy environments
Coordinate and govern engineering activities delivered by external engineering partners and vendors
Hold vendors accountable for delivery quality, technical standards and adherence to processes
Act as the bridge between technical engineering teams and business stakeholders while supporting business-as-usual operations and project delivery activity

This role is positioned at CUK07 level within our organisation and is available on a full-time, fixed-term basis for 12-months. We offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.
