Tetra Tech International Development Europe is Tetra Techs European business unit focused on International Development. We are based in London with offices in Kenya Nigeria Poland and the Netherlands. We deliver international development programmes focused on economic growth governance and justice / security and infrastructure for clients such as the UKs Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) the United Nations the European Union the European Investment Bank and other donors and funding agencies. We also have a strong in-house Monitoring Evaluation Research and Learning Practice consisting of 35 evaluators statisticians economists social scientists and research managers.

Location : London Stable Street (Coals Drop Yard near Kings Cross Station)

Flexible working available: We operate a hybrid working policy with people working from the office two days a week and the rest working from home. People may choose to come in more often.

Contract Type : Permanent Full Time Permanent

Working Hours : Monday to Friday 37.50 hours per week (with the occasional travel to project country locations)

Main Duties
  • Manage the successful delivery of large complex international development programmes ensuring they meet quality standards milestones budgets and client requirements.
  • Lead and support business development by identifying opportunities managing end-to-end tender processes coordinating teams crafting tailored proposals that clearly communicate value and collaborating with partners to build competitive tenders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients partners consultants and internal teams to support the successful delivery of programs and business growth.
  • Contribute to the wider Economic Growth and Infrastructure Practice by sharing knowledge and mentoring junior colleagues.
  • Willing and able to travel internationally as required including to fragile and conflict-affected states and other company offices as required.
Aptitude and skills
  • An experienced early mid-career professional with demonstrable experience managing international development programmes ideally in economic growth infrastructure private sector development climate and nature energy or related sectors. Experience managing FCDO-funded programmes is highly desirable.
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset driven to identify and pursue new business opportunities. You bring a proven track record in business development including significant contributions to pipeline growth pursuit strategy and successful tender submissions ideally within FCDO-funded contexts. Strong writing skills are highly valued in proposal writing.
  • Technically adept with deep knowledge of inclusive economic growth climate and / or infrastructure challenges and opportunities in developing country contexts.
  • Well-connected with extensive networks of potential partners and experts relevant to our geographic and thematic priorities.
  • An outstanding communicator in English (both written and oral) comfortable working across cultures and with global teams.
  • Exceptionally organised detail-oriented and numerate capable of managing multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated adaptable and committed to fostering a positive collaborative team culture.
Qualifications

Educated to Masters level (or equivalent preferably) in international development economics agriculture engineering climate and sustainability or related disciplines.
