Job Summary

The Audit & Cost Control Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategies and procedures to control costs, optimize financial resources, and ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and accounting standards. This role involves leading audit engagements, analyzing financial performance, identifying risks, and recommending corrective actions and efficiency improvements to senior management.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and monitor project/departmental budgets, comparing actual expenditures against budgeted amounts, and providing accurate cost forecasts.
  • Analyze significant cost variances and discrepancies, identify root causes, and recommend and implement corrective actions to align costs with the budget.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and process optimization across all departments.
  • Review and approve project-related expenses and manage contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with financial terms.
  • Prepare and present detailed, regular cost reports and financial performance updates to project teams, department heads, and senior management.
  • Design and execute comprehensive internal audit plans and programs to assess the effectiveness of risk management and internal control systems.
  • Evaluate the adequacy, effectiveness, and compliance of internal controls, policies, and procedures with legal, regulatory, and corporate standards.
  • Identify potential financial and operational risks, fraud, and control deficiencies, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, risks, and actionable recommendations. Monitor and track the timely implementation of recommended corrective actions.
  • Develop, update, and maintain robust cost control and internal control systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff and management on cost control standards, financial compliance, and internal control principles.
  • Root cause analysis, data analysis and way-out sustainability.
  • Merchandising costing analysis (Pre Cost & Post Cost).
  • Production analysis Daily, Monthly, Order wise.
  • Research & Analysis of Yarn, dyes chemicals and other raw materials utilization.
  • Yarn, Dyes Chemicals and other raw materials utilization audit.
  • Justify & find out order wise and monthly knitting wastage, dyeing wastage, process loss, re-dyeing, garments wastage, accessories wastage, printing wastage, embroidery wastage, washing wastage.
  • Purchase rate analysis with procurement system.
