Job summary

EY Global Services seeks a Manager in Cybersecurity to deliver complex engineering engagements across IT and OT, aligning security roadmaps with client needs and regulatory obligations. The role focuses on secure site-to-cloud connectivity, network segmentation, and mentoring junior staff.

You will contribute to business development, guide project scopes, and help build a high-performing team within EY’s global cybersecurity practice based in London, Manchester or Scotland.

Qualifications

  • Experience in cybersecurity engineering across IT and OT.
  • Strong network engineering skills: routing, switching, VLANs, ACLs, NAT, firewall rulebase design and optimisation.
  • Experience implementing secure remote and local access and PAM.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for client delivery.
  • Ability to obtain UK Government security clearances.
  • CCNA/CCNP-level networking competence.
  • Familiarity with NCSC CAF, EU NIS2, and NIST CSF.
  • OT exposure such as SCADA/PLC/HMI basics and IEC 62443.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver complex cybersecurity engineering engagements across multiple sites and regions, IT and OT aligned to EY standards.
  • Align security roadmaps to operational priorities, risk appetite, and regulatory obligations.
  • Deliver engineering work and manage scope, schedule, resources, and risks.
  • Implement security measures from blueprints: firewall configurations, network segmentation, VLANs, ACLs, site-to-cloud connectivity.
  • Produce engineering artefacts including build standards and baselines.
  • Foster a positive team environment by mentoring staff, conducting performance reviews, and supporting development.
  • Support business development: proposal writing and client presentations.
  • Contribute to recruiting and training cybersecurity professionals.

Job description

Salary: £40,500 - 68,500 per year

Requirements:
  • Experience in cybersecurity with onsite experience; OT experience is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong network engineering skills, including routing, switching, VLANs, ACLs, NAT, firewall rulebase design and optimisation, and network segmentation.
  • Experience implementing secure remote and local access and privileged access, such as PAM, jump hosts, and PAW.
  • Working knowledge of NCSC CAF, EU NIS2, and NIST CSF.
  • CCNA/CCNP-level networking competence.
  • Willingness to travel for client delivery, domestically and internationally as required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain UK Government security clearances.
  • Ideally, experience with major security vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, and Palo Alto, and familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Ideally, OT exposure such as SCADA/PLC/HMI basics, OT protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, and OPC UA, and IEC 62443.
  • Ideally, experience coordinating with operations on infrastructure changes such as IP readdressing and recabling.
  • Ideally, advanced certifications such as CISSP, GICSP, or CCNA/CCNP or equivalent.
