A leading professional services firm in the UK is seeking a Manager for its Credit & Restructuring Tax Team. The role involves advising clients on diverse transactions, managing high-profile projects, and contributing to the team's growth and development. Ideal candidates will have strong tax knowledge, excellent relationship-building skills, and experience in a collaborative environment. This opportunity promises personal and professional development within a dynamic and supportive team culture.
The Credit & Restructuring Tax Team is a fast‑growing team that provides market‑leading expertise to a range of clients across a variety of situations.
We are looking for Managers to work on a wide range of transactions, advising funds, institutional investors and borrowers undertaking transactions in the credit and restructuring markets. These can range from lending and borrowing, buying and selling debt, to rescuing overleveraged businesses and supporting key stakeholders, and building long‑term relationships with those businesses and stakeholders as they recover and grow through further transactions.
Credit and restructuring transactions cover a broad range of interesting situations. Macroeconomic factors are currently fuelling a material increase in activity in this area, but it is also a key part of the market at any stage of the economic cycle, raising, directing and redirecting financing to where it’s most needed, to support growth. Our transactions are varied and bespoke, involving UK and cross‑border structuring advice.
Our team comprises a diverse group of high‑performing professionals who thrive on collaborating with clients to understand their commercial goals and supporting them with a range of varied and valued services.
As a transactions‑focused team, we sit alongside and work closely with our M&A and Real Estate tax teams, as well as other specialist teams and other service lines, to provide joined‑up comprehensive solutions to our clients.
You will be an integral member of the team, managing a portfolio of high‑profile clients and projects, developing and leading your own client relationships and developing more junior team members. On client projects you will be working alongside all grades making up the broader client team in a collaborative and dynamic manner, as well as within wider global project teams.
Deloitte takes your development seriously. You’ll benefit from continuous training and a transparent, interactive appraisal process. You’ll be empowered to manage your own workload and achieve career goals that you set yourself, in a team with a clear overarching strategy and a proven track record for strong progression.
We encourage consideration of flexible ways of working, both formal and informal arrangements that allow for the best outcomes for our people and our clients. If this opportunity is of interest to you with some flexibility, please do discuss with us.

We advise on corporate and general tax, international M&A, stamp tax, cross‑border transfer pricing, reorganisations and reconstructions, and competent authority negotiations.
Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm). The recruitment team will provide further detail as you progress through the recruitment process or you can contact the Independence team upon request.
