Job summary

WPP Media seeks a Regional Client Manager to join OpenDoor in London. The role reports to the Regional Client Director and supports a junior account management exec. You will ensure consistency and excellent service for Amazon across Europe, coordinating DPAM activities and cross-functional teams.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are searching for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our OpenDoor team as a Regional Client Manager. This is a full-time position based in London. The Role will report to the Regional Client Director, and will manage a junior account management exec. This role plays a crucial part in supporting WPP's mission to deliver consistency, delivery excellence and best in class service for Amazon in every country across its diverse businesses, including XCM, Prime Video, and RMI.

XCM is Amazon’s Cross-Channel Marketing division, delivering all communications for Amazon.com, including large tentpole campaigns such as Black Friday and Prime Day. OpenDoor is XCM’s media partner everywhere in the world except North America and Latin America. XCM is the largest business division within Amazon and Europe is the largest region supported by the WPP team, therefore the Regional XCM Client manager in Europe plays a pivotal role within the OpenDoor organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage day-to-day client requests, projects and workstreams, ensuring all deliverables are completed to a high standard, on time and in line with agreed processes.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client and internal stakeholders, coordinating activity across the Discover, Plan, Activate and Measure (DPAM) workflow to ensure seamless delivery and clear accountability.
  • Be available and build trusted relationships with hub planning teams, local markets and specialist partners, facilitating regular communication, governance and knowledge-sharing to ensure alignment, promote best practice and drive consistent execution across stakeholders.
  • Manage regional governance and knowledge-sharing initiatives, facilitating network forums and market communications to promote best practice, drive consistency and share key developments and innovations across the region.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the capabilities and roles of specialist teams across OpenDoor and WPP, knowing when to engage expertise across media, analytics, strategy, production, commerce and finance to deliver integrated solutions and add value to client work.
  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of regional and multi-market campaigns, including briefing, stakeholder management, compliance, commercial requirements, budget tracking, reporting, reconciliation and post-campaign analysis.
  • Support and drive the development of high-quality client-facing materials, including presentations, narratives, POVs, reporting and recommendations that provide clear insights and actionable outcomes.
  • Drive operational excellence through effective management of financial processes, including purchase orders, budget tracking, reconciliation and adherence to internal governance requirements, including Budget Tracker processes.
  • Champion innovation through the application of data, technology, automation and AI-enabled tools, including WPP Open, to improve campaign effectiveness, operational efficiency and client outcomes.
  • Support the delivery of regional reporting and campaign analysis, providing insights and recommendations to evaluate performance and identify optimisation opportunities.
  • Stay informed of industry developments, emerging technologies and Amazon-specific initiatives, sharing knowledge and best practices across the wider OpenDoor network.
Skills and Experience
  • Strong organizational and project management skills and be able to coordinate multiple stakeholders, as well as demonstrating excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong digital and data knowledge, preferably with a strong media planning/activation background (essential to closely collaborate with the planning team).
  • Act on your own initiative to immerse yourself in the client’s business and category to challenge thinking or improve ways of working.
  • Multi-market experience preferable.
