"The Marketing team is poised for unprecedented growth and opportunity. We're in a very unique position where we've experienced tremendous success but are far from exhausting the whitespace around us. There is a unique opportunity to join a rising organization and make a significant and immediate impact." Mark Lynch - Senior Director, Demand Generation
Are you ready to lead the data revolution in a fast-paced, high-impact marketing environment? Absorb is on the hunt for a Manager, Business Intelligence who is equal parts strategist, builder, and storyteller. In this role, you\'ll architect the insights engine that drives smarter decisions across Marketing and Product from defining rock-solid metrics to unlocking full-funnel visibility and powering automation at scale. You\'ll lead a talented team, shape the data culture, and partner with cross-functional leaders to turn complexity into clarity. If you thrive on turning data into action and love enabling teams to move fast with confidence, this is your moment.
What you\'ll do:
- Establish and maintain the semantic layer (metrics, dimensions, business logic) so Marketing, Product, and Enablement share one source of truth.
- Deliver decision-ready dashboards and self-serve for product and marketing performance; drive adoption and consistency.
- Build end-to-end visibility across the prospect and customer funnels.
- Own tracking plans and governance (naming, schemas, consent/PII) for Marketo (including Engage & Measure) and Pendo; ensure accurate, current instrumentation.
- Ensure timely, accurate campaign support (lists, segment definitions, suppressions, enrichments, QA) so planned campaigns launch on schedule.
- Maintain data pipelines and SLAs that keep reporting current and dependable.
- Own data quality workflows (lineage, alerts, anomaly checks, backfills) and documentation; uphold privacy/compliance standards.
- Manage a small team; run 1:1s, reviews, and career development; establish intake and prioritization rituals.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years in BI/Analytics with cross-functional stakeholders (Marketing, Product, RevOps).
- 2+ years of people management experience.
- Hands‑on with a major BI tool (Looker, Power BI, or Tableau) and semantic‑layer concepts.
- Experience with SQL and data‑modeling (dbt or similar).
- Proven ownership of marketing automation and/or product analytics instrumentation, specifically Marketo and Pendo (tracking plans, field hygiene, event schemas, QA).
- Familiarity with GA4/UTM governance, Salesforce/CRM objects, and ETL/ELT (e.g., Fivetran or Stitch) in a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift).
- Clear communicator who can define metrics, set expectations/SLA, and drive adoption without boiling the ocean.
- Nice-to-have:
- Experience with marketing attribution and multi‑touch reporting.
- Experience working with Salesforce.
- Experience supporting paid search performance reporting and optimization.
