What You Will Do

Provide effective leadership, management, and supervision to social workers and social care assessors across the peripatetic team.

Oversee casework, ensuring strengths‑based assessments and personalised support planning in line with the Care Act 2014.

Manage staff performance, monitor workloads, oversee annual leave and sickness, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Lead safeguarding responses, ensuring timely and compliant action in line with legislation and Trafford’s local policies.

Work collaboratively with multi‑disciplinary partners to deliver coordinated and high‑quality support to adults with varied care needs.

Uphold and promote the principles of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, advocating for residents’ independence, autonomy, and rights.

About You

You are a qualified Social Worker with active registration with Social Work England.

You bring strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

You are confident working autonomously and collaboratively within a busy operational environment.

You champion strength‑based practice and encourage independence and resilience for the people you support.

You have a solid understanding of the legislative framework guiding Adult Social Care, including the Care Act and MCA.
