Pippins Pre‑School & Nursery

Pippins Pre‑School & Nursery are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Nursery Manager to lead our dedicated team. Pippins is an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ nursery for 0-5 year olds, described by Ofsted as welcoming, warm and friendly. The role includes managing the day to day nursery operations, alongside the wrap‑around pre and post school provision at Landscore School (Crediton).

Setting

The setting is located in the heart of Crediton and is closely linked to the local community, with regular fundraising events and family activities. Children are cared for across two floors, split into four well resourced rooms. The space is vibrant, yet homely and designed to welcome children and support their learning through play. Due to its central location, children often make use of the nearby facilities through visits to the local park, book shop and library.

Objectives
  • Encourage a healthy lifestyle by promoting exercise, nutritional knowledge and building a sound foundation for well‑being
  • Ensure a safe, stimulating, comfortable environment, by providing high quality care and education implementing a rich, play‑based curriculum indoors and outdoors
  • Promote fun and enjoyment, by giving each child quality time and attention based on their own personal interests and views
  • Provide opportunities to positively engage with society; the chance to be part of their local community
  • Work in partnership with parents/carers to maximise a child’s potential to learn and develop
