Job summary

Legal & General is seeking a Management Information Analyst to join our Retail Annuities team, translating complex data into actionable insights to support pricing, sales and operations.

This hands-on role requires strong SQL, advanced Excel, and experience building datasets, with a proactive approach to data quality and stakeholder communication. You’ll work across teams to deliver high-quality MI and reporting outputs.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills with experience handling large datasets.
• Advanced Excel capabilities, including pivots and lookups.
• Experience building and transforming datasets and delivering MI or reporting outputs.

Job Description

We’re looking for a Management Information Analyst to join our Retail Annuities team, supporting how data is used to drive decisions across the business. This is a hands‑on, technical role where you’ll work closely with stakeholders to turn complex data into meaningful insights.

What you’ll be doing:

• Delivering high-quality management information to business stakeholders
• Writing SQL queries to extract and combine data from multiple sources
• Building and maintaining datasets from scratch
• Translating stakeholder requirements into data solutions
• Producing analysis to support pricing, sales, and operational decisions
• Improving reporting processes and data quality
• Working across teams to understand and solve data challenges
• Supporting both BAU reporting and project‑based work

Who we’re looking for:

• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets
• Advanced Excel capability including pivot tables and lookups
• Experience building datasets and transforming data
• Proven experience delivering MI or reporting outputs
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with proactive approach
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
• Confident stakeholder communicator
• Experience with BI tools or Snowflake (nice to have)
