Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Senior Manager to lead finance operating-model and GBS transformations for global clients, designing target operating models, delivery footprints, and AI-enabled processes. You will sit with CFOs, own end-to-end programmes, and drive change across the finance function.

You will grow the practice by shaping offerings, developing reusable assets, and leading high-impact engagements with executive stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Why this role

This is a lead role for a finance operating-model and GBS architect - someone who can sit with a CFO, take a whole finance function from strategy through transformation, and run the programme self-sufficiently in front of the client. You'll design the target operating model and the service-delivery model that runs it, put AI and agents at the core rather than bolted on, and carry the organisation through the change. You'll own the design, grow the accounts you work on, and shape how we take finance operating-model and intelligent-operations transformation to market.

What you'll bring

Finance operating-model and GBS design.

Deep, hands-on design of the finance target operating model, end to end - the service-delivery model (retained, shared services, global business services (GBS), outsourced and managed services, and the judgement to choose between them), location strategy and delivery footprint, organisation design across spans, layers, roles and structure, and global process ownership across Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash. You make the operating-model calls that hold together and stand behind them as the design authority.

Intelligent and autonomous finance.

This is finance transformation built for where AI is heading. The role designs operating models with AI and agents as first-class citizens - the process shaped around them rather than retrofitted into a human-shaped model - bringing intelligent operations and autonomous process design (agents rather than bots), with the controls and human oversight thought through at operating-model level. You don't need a track record in agentic finance - the market is early and few have one yet - but you bring the appetite, the aptitude and the judgement to design for it, and to lead clients into it responsibly.

The commercial and value case.

You make the case for change in enterprise-value terms: the cost-to-serve case and the benchmarking behind it, a business and benefits case a CFO can back, and the service-management design - SLAs, KPIs and governance - that lets a finance function run the new model and prove it works.

Leading the programme.

You run finance operating-model and GBS transformationsself-sufficiently with clients - that independence is what sets a Senior Manager apart here, and it's the heart of the role. You carry the change-management journey end to end, hold immediate credibility at CFO and finance-leadership level, and influence senior stakeholders through clear, executive communication. You lead, coach and develop the team around you.

Growing the work.

You originate and shape new work, help develop the offering, and build the reusable assets and points of view that grow the practice.

We're an AI-first delivery team - bringing agentic tooling and orchestration into how we design, analyse and deliver, with our people owning the judgement and the outcome. You'll bring that same instinct to how the team works.

Qualification

Who you are

You lead with authority and earn trust fast with CFOs and senior finance leaders. You can hold a whole finance operating model in your head - the processes, the people, the technology and the economics - and keep it coherent under pressure. You have commercial instinct and a nose for where an account can grow, you frame change in the language of enterprise value, and you bring people with you through it. You're a genuine team player who develops those around you, and you're known for sound, decisive calls.

Things that set strong candidates apart

a track record leading finance operating-model and GBS transformations end to end, self-sufficiently with clients; the appetite and aptitude to lead finance into intelligent, AI-and-agent-led operations; grounding in the finance function itself - close, controls, reporting and data integrity as they shape operating-model choices; and a professional finance or accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent industry experience).
