Your Role

An exciting opportunity to be part of a team that will form an integral part of Capgemini’s logistics squad delivering a broad set of solutions to new and existing clients. This will be made up of core capabilities of warehouse and transport management and many new and exciting complimentary solutions including automation, robotics and many new digital and AI based technologies. The scope of our offering will also include WMS, TMS, OMS and in‑store technology, forming part of the wider connected supply chain.

As a logistics consultant / senior consultant in the business, you’ll help set the direction, driving forward the logistics team, developing our operational, warehouse and transport capabilities. You will model our values and behaviours, and coach and develop junior members of the team.

Role

As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:

  • Business Development – leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
  • Internal Contribution – campaign development, internal think‑tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
  • Learning & Development – training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.
Your Profile
We’d Love To Meet Someone With
  • Previous experience of warehouse operations in a logistics environment who can demonstrate a clear understanding of warehouse processes and optimisation of operations.
  • Previous experience of multimodal transport operations in a logistics environment who can demonstrate a clear understanding of transport processes and optimisation of transport operations.
  • Experience of contributing to (consultant) and leading (senior consultant) project teams to understand the wider approach to project delivery and governance, with experience of both waterfall and agile methodologies.
  • Experience as a management consultant or experience in business improvement programmes, including working in diverse teams with global or regional impact.
  • Ideally, experience of implementing industry leading WMS solutions.
  • A clear understanding of the integrated nature of supply chain solutions that integrate with the WMS and onward processes once stock leaves the warehouse e.g., planning solutions, OMS, TMS, in store.
  • Ideally, experience of implementing TMS and/or other supply chain solutions (see above), and with experience of managing and developing relationships with software vendors.
  • An understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of strategic logistics software solutions.
  • Experience of testing process experience and who can demonstrate a clear understanding of testing methods, tools and strategies.
  • Strong stakeholder management/engagement skills and ability to demonstrate management approach.
  • Ability to update on progress, both verbally and in written reports/updates at different levels of the project.
  • A customer first mentality.
  • Experience of producing and managing budgets in a sales and project delivery environment and who can demonstrate process and approach.
  • The ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
