Axon Moore are excited to be supporting a well‑established business in Wigan to recruit a new Management Accountant on a part‑time basis. This role is paying a competitive salary of up to £45,000 with a flexible hybrid working arrangement on offer.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting

• Prepare monthly financial accounts and ensure adherence to reporting deadlines.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register and calculate depreciation.
• Ensure timely payment of VAT, Corporation Tax, and PAYE.

Management Accounting

• Produce detailed monthly P&L reports.
• Conduct cost variance analysis and identify trends.
• Assist operational managers with forecasting and cost tracking.
• Prepare and present management accounts to senior stakeholders.

Cashflow Management

• Maintain weekly short‑term cashflow forecasts.
• Plan supplier payments and manage aged debtors.
• Liaise with client payment teams to ensure timely invoice settlement.

Budgeting

• Assist the Financial Controller with annual budget setting.
• Review monthly performance vs budget and produce variance reports.

Skills & Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or part‑qualified.
• Strong knowledge of financial and management accounting principles.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non‑financial stakeholders.
