Job description

Allen Motor Group are currently looking to employ a Management Accountant based at our dealership in Northampton. The role is to provide support to the whole group with daily/weekly/monthly departmental financial analysis, including the production of the monthly management accounts, covering multiple sites. The position is offered on a 37.5‑hour week, Monday‑Friday, paying £35,000‑£40,000 depending on experience and will report to the Senior Management Accountant.

Do I need experience?

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Management Accountant, either fully qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) or newly qualified, to join our dynamic team within the motor trade industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven finance professional to make a real impact in a fast‑paced automotive business.

• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)

• Previous motor trade accounts experience would be preferred but not essential
• Previous experience with Kerridge would be very advantageous

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts for multiple dealerships/sites
• Collating and checking weekly departmental forecasts
• Preparing and submitting manufacturer composites
• Assisting with internal and external auditors, particularly at the end of the year
• Month‑end balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensuring compliance with group accounting policies and procedures
• Working to create a supportive environment for all departmental managers & encouraging communication for any financial matters
