Management Accountant

Location: Kirmington

Salary: circa £45k

Benjamin Edwards is recruiting a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountantto join a friendly and supportive accounts team within a dynamic SME. Following a period of significant investment, the business continues to expand and diversify. As Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting financial operations and providing valuable insights to help drive business performance.

The role of the Management Accountant
  • Supporting the preparation and analysis of budgets and management reports
  • Preparing and maintaining product costings and price lists
  • Managing payroll administration (processing outsourced to a payroll bureau)
  • Compiling financial information for cross-departmental use
  • Managing and maintaining the sales data management system
  • Supporting month-end and year-end processes, including stock take, supplier payments, journal postings and account reconciliations, employee expenses and company credit cards, quarterly VAT returns, accruals and prepayments, fleet management, rebates, and maintaining the fixed asset register
  • Assisting with insurance, healthcare, and utilities renewals
  • Supporting the annual audit process and R&D tax credit calculations
  • Providing support with HR administrative tasks (GDPR compliance, personnel records)
  • Performing additional finance-related tasks as required
The ideal candidate for the role of Management Accountant
  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA/ICAEW qualified (finalist or part qualified close to qualifying will also be considered)
  • Strong systems and IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial colleagues
