Job Description
- Oversee the month-end cycle: compile management accounts, conduct variance reviews, and reconcile supplier, intercompany, accrual and prepayment ledgers.
- Handle and align primary funding streams: manage government grants, childcare subsidies and other significant financial inflows.
- Lead budget setting, forecast modelling & analytics: work with the Head of Finance and operations team to build annual plans and rolling forecasts; deliver deep revenue, funding, cost and pricing insight.
- Enhance strategic decision-making: detect emerging trends and opportunities early; ensure the Fixed Asset Register is rigorously maintained.
- Facilitate statutory reporting, audit readiness & compliance: coordinate the year-end accounts, work with auditors and external partners, and embed robust internal financial controls.
- Monitor liquidity & collaborate with business units: track cash flow and working capital, develop financial accountability with budget-holders, create relevant KPIs and offer targeted analysis that drives performance improvement.
The Successful Applicant
- We are seeking a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) - either a first-time mover from practice or a recently-qualified professional trained within industry.
