Job summary

Management Accountant - 6-Month Contract - Central London

We are seeking a skilled Management Accountant for a 6-month contract within a dynamic Consumer Leisure environment based in Central London. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting and reporting experience, particularly within small to medium-sized businesses.

Key Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Management Accountant role
  • Experience working in small to medium-sized businesses
  • Proficiency with Paprika accounting software is highly desirable
  • Industry experience in Consumer, Hospitality, Events, or FMCG sectors is a strong advantage
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage month-end close processes for multiple venues
  • Prepare weekly performance reports for senior leadership
  • Conduct regular analysis of income, gross profit margins, and staffing costs
  • Support the preparation of annual budgets, reforecasts, and rolling forecasts
  • Assist with year-end audit processes
  • Oversee and execute weekly payment runs
  • Provide ad hoc financial and event-related support
  • Contribute to finance team projects as needed
  • Create ad hoc budgets and financial projections for Directors
  • Reconcile card and cash takings to ensure accurate revenue recognition
  • Own event budgets from a finance perspective, challenging overspends
  • Ensure purchase orders are raised and approved for all committed costs
  • Collaborate with Operations and Management for timely client reporting
  • Produce trend analysis and reports to support on-site operations
  • Coordinate client reporting and ensure PO compliance
  • Deliver stock-related financial reporting
Skills & Attributes
  • Strong experience managing multiple revenue streams and cost centres
  • Growth mindset and interest in the events and entertainment sector
  • Intermediate to finalist level CIMA/ACCA qualification
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and complex spreadsheets
  • Confident communicator, able to challenge senior stakeholders
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
