Job summary

Meraki Talent is supporting a global manufacturing firm in Glasgow to recruit a Management Accountant on a permanent basis. You will support the Financial Controller with month-end processes, KPI analysis and reporting, while collaborating with operational teams to drive performance.

The role covers accruals, prepayments, journals, bank reconciliations, payroll coordination, budgeting and forecasting, and year-end audit support.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified / qualified or qualified by experience considered
• Strong understanding of month-end processes and operational accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, accruals, prepayments and journals
• Produce monthly management reports and KPI analysis
• Monitor accounts receivable and payable balances
• Perform bank reconciliations and treasury-related activities
• Coordinate payroll and employee expense processing

Meraki Talent is delighted to be supporting a global Manufacturing firm in Glasgow on their search for a Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will support the Financial Controller across a broad range of finance activities while working closely with operational teams. Duties to include:

• Preparing monthly management accounts, accruals, prepayments and journal preparation


• Production of monthly management reports and KPI analysis


• Monitoring and maintaining accounts receivable and payable balances


• Bank reconciliations and treasury-related activities


• Managing supplier payments, including multi-currency transactions


• Coordinating payroll and employee expense processing


• Maintaining fixed asset registers and related accounting records


• Supporting environmental and compliance reporting requirements


• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and business performance analysis


• Partnering with departmental managers to support operational decision-making


• Assisting with year-end audit activities


• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls
