Qualifications

• Strong month-end and management accounting experience.
• Confident in working with stakeholders and explaining numbers clearly.

Responsibilities

• Produce full end-to-end monthly management accounts.
• Perform variance analysis and commentary for senior stakeholders.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, and internal reporting.
• Ensure cashflow forecasts are produced on time.
• Attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with statutory returns.
• Support junior team members and get involved in training.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, prepayments, accruals, rebates.
• Participate in year-end audit and statutory processes.
• Identify ways to improve systems, reporting, and processes.

The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified or CIMA / ACCA studying with some exposure to the management accounts process. Qualified by experienced candidates will also be considered. The role would someone looking to take that step up from an Assistant Management Accountant / Assistant Accountant role who has had some experience supporting with the production of the management accounts or an experienced Management Accountant who is looking for a new challenge in a more commercial stakeholder led environment.

Day to day you’ll get involved in

• Producing full end-to-end monthly management accounts
• Variance analysis and commentary for senior stakeholders
• Helping with budgets forecasts and internal reporting
• Ensuring the cashflow forecasts are produced and submitted to deadlines
• Attending meetings with internal and external stakeholdersFinance business partnering between finance and other departments
• Ensuring compliance with statutory returns
• Supporting junior team members and getting involved in training
• Balance sheet reconciliations prepayments accruals rebates
• Playing a part in the year-end audit and statutory process
• Identifying ways to improve systems reporting and processes

What you’ll bring to the table

• AAT qualified part qualified or qualified by experience
• Confident working with stakeholders and explaining numbers clearly
• Strong month-end / management accounting experience
• Someone who enjoys improving processes and adding value
