Job summary

A charitable organization in the South-West is seeking a Management Accountant who will prepare management accounts and provide financial support across its hospices. The role offers flexibility to work from the closest hospice or home. Candidates should hold relevant accounting qualifications (CIMA or CIPFA) and have strong Excel skills. Management Accountant -

This role offers flexibility for the successful candidate to be based anywhere in the South-West. You'll work from the hospice closest to your location - Charlton Farm (Bristol), Little Bridge House (Barnstaple), or Little Harbour (St Austell) - combined with home working.

Joining our small friendly and professional team you will be responsible for preparing the management accounts. This will include commentaries and financial statement analysis, providing support to budget holders on management accounting principles and preparing the annual budgets. The position is also required to support and assist other members of the finance team in a range of financial compliance, reporting and analysis work.

With an accounting qualification such as CIMA or CIPFA and experience of providing accountancy services working at a relatively high level, you will also be familiar with generating management accounts via computerised systems and delivering financial analysis and forecasting. Excellent Excel skills are essential, and experience of Xledger would be a significant advantage. Confidence and ability to use initiative, a positive attitude and supportive team working is essential.
