A leading nature conservation body in Preston is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to manage finance operations. The role includes managing a small finance team, handling VAT, budgeting, and preparing statutory accounts. Ideal candidates will have strong IT and numeracy skills. An exciting opening for a Management Accountant to join our dynamic, fast paced Finance team
We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant with good communication skills and a high attention to detail.
We require an ambitious, enthusiastic and motivated individual to manage the Trusts finance team across all areas of accounting, including transactional processing, VAT, budgeting and management accounting plus working on year-end statutory accounts and audit preparation. The successful candidate will also play a role in continuous improvement, systems and internal controls.
The role offers a fantastic opportunity to work in all aspects of accounting in both charity and commercial accounting, managing the small finance team and working with budget and project managers on financial resources, planning and reporting.
We are looking for someone with experience in using computerised accountancy systems, who also has a high level of IT proficiency to manipulate and make sense of financial data. The ideal candidate will be able to work on their own initiative, will be able to organise their workload efficiently and will have a high standard of numeracy.
This is a full time position, with a preferred 35 working week, however reduced hours may be considered for the right candidate.
