You will play a key role in preparing management accounts, developing budgets, and collaborating with senior management. Role Description

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyse monthly and annual management accounts.
  • Oversee and scrutinise the entire management accounting process.
  • Analyse both the Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Deal with all requests from statutory auditors.
  • Prepare information required for consolidation of group accounts.
  • Develop and maintain accurate budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Participate in senior management meetings and contribute valuable financial insights.
  • Manage the cost model and ensure its effectiveness.
  • Proactively challenge budget holders on overhead spending.
  • Facilitate close collaboration and discussions across departments to gather accurate and complete financial data.
  • Act as a bridge between finance and other departments, translating financial information into actionable insights for informed decision-making.
  • Oversee monthly management reporting and ensure timely delivery.
  • Provide support in preparation of management accounts and coordination statutory audit for Sheffield based subsidiaries.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department.
  • Take ownership of various ad-hoc projects as needed.
Who You Are
  • A fully qualified Management Accountant with CIMA, ACA, ACCA or qualified by experience.
  • Possess exceptional skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven experience in a commercial accounting environment.
  • Adept at influencing others with a subtle yet impactful approach.
  • A hands-on individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and collaborate effectively with diverse teams across the organization.
  • A positive and enthusiastic team player with a can-do attitude.
  • Meticulous organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Were looking for a driven and commercially minded Management Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is not your typical accounting role; it is a wide-ranging position that goes far beyond producing reports. You will work closely with senior management, taking ownership of the full management accounting process while also getting involved in costing, material consumption analysis, cost reviews, and a variety of commercial activities that influence key business decisions.
Hours and Leave

Hours: 08:30 to 17:00 - Monday to Thursday; 1 hour lunch break

Hours: 08:30 to 14:00 Friday; 30 minutes lunch break

Annual leave: 25 days + Bank Holidays
