Join Our Finance Team as an Interim Accountant

We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Interim Accountant to support our Finance department during a key period. This is a hands-on role where you’ll contribute to accurate financial reporting, partner with stakeholders across the business, and help drive improvements in financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare group financial statements, consolidations, P&L accounts, budgets, cash flows, and monthly management accounts
  • Oversee management accounts for Russell Finex Ltd, including balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis
  • Lead balance sheet reviews and ensure accuracy across reporting
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop KPIs and deliver insightful monthly reports
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support decision-making
  • Prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts, including group-level consolidation
  • Document and enhance internal financial procedures
  • Continuously review and improve accounting practices and systems
  • Ensure statutory compliance and manage the annual audit process
  • Lead year-end accounts preparation and liaise with external auditors
  • Drive ERP system improvements and lead related developments
  • Maintain effective communication with international subsidiaries
  • Manage VAT submissions for the UK, Ireland, and Belgium
  • Oversee payroll submissions for the UK, Sweden, and Spain

Additional Duties

  • Provide cover for other finance team members as needed
  • Manage the General Ledger Accounting team
  • Support senior management with ad hoc tasks

About You

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or finalist ACCA / QBE
  • Strong technical accounting skills, particularly in group reporting
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
