First Recruitment Services Ltd. is seeking a Management Accountant for a well-established charitable organisation in Brighton. This is a 3-month temporary contract, working Mon-Fri, 9:00am-5:00pm (35 hours per week). You will report to the Head of Finance and support accurate financial reporting and grant funding administration.

The role requires previous management accounting experience, strong financial reporting knowledge, and familiarity with Sage. Charitable sector experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Track grant funding, including restricted fund analysis and reporting to funders
• Assist with internal financial enquiries and support colleagues across the organisation
• Support day-to-day operation of the finance function with Head of Finance

Management Accountant

Are you an experienced finance professional looking for your next opportunity? We are recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a well-established charitable organisation in Brighton on a 3-month temporary contract. Working closely with the Head of Finance and Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and overseeing grant funding administration.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous management accounting experience who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and making a positive impact within the charity sector.

You will be working Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (35 hours per week), earning 18.00 - 20.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring all income and expenditure is recorded accurately and efficiently within the organisation's Sage accounting system
• Supporting the production of monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Maintaining strong financial controls and processes across the organisation
• Overseeing invoicing and ensuring transactional finance activities are completed accurately
• Tracking grant funding, including restricted fund analysis and funder reporting
• Assisting with internal financial enquiries and providing support to colleagues across the organisation
• Working closely with the Head of Finance to support the day-to-day operation of the finance function

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role
• Strong understanding of management accounts and financial reporting
• Experience using Sage accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred (Not Essential) Experience:

• Experience working within a charity, foundation, or not-for-profit organisation
• Knowledge of grant funding and restricted fund reporting
• AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent finance qualification
• Experience implementing and maintaining financial controls
• Supporting audits and year-end processes
